life through a (different) viewfinder

Misleading ambiguity hurts so much more than the ugly but straightforward truth.

– Lesson from 2011

Perfectionism is my curse.

It’s a curse that consumes my attention to all the minute details that people don’t care to appreciate or simply overlook, or that make absolutely no difference to the big picture.  I know, I’ve always told myself that nothing will ever be perfect no matter how much effort I put into it, but that the significance lies in the greater picture.  I just can’t seem to take my mind off of the fine lines though…and I know that if I keep this up, my perfectionism will eventually destroy me, slowly and painfully.

Comfortable relationships are the best.

You trust one another and you’re honest about everything. You don’t need to hide your thoughts or feelings or anything and the best part is that, within the relationship, no one judges you. You can just happily be yourself without any embarrassments.

The rougher times of life can only be as bad as we choose to make them by the end of the day. Just remember to be resilient to shortcomings, willing to learn from experience, and optimistic toward a brighter day tomorrow to set things right.
